Show Off Your FSU

It's a ring to set the flash synch speed, as different bulbs require different synchronisation due to differences in the way they flash/burn.

Edit: never mind, I got hung up in an old edition of this thread for some unspecified but surely daft reason. Probably because my end of the woods is always behind... >.<

My "new" one

I paid about 15$. It's fully operational, needs CLA only. I've never seen it before on real.

New to me Kiev 4. It's a 1969 vintage. All seems to work fine except there seems to be a brown stain on the right hand side of the finder. Looks to be on the angled part of the beam splitter.

I'm preparing to sell my FED, so I set up a little tabletop studio. So far, I'm quite pleased with the results.

First acquisition, great condition, except for the missing RF bezel (if anyone knows where I can find one, please let me know).

Latest addition, just arrived Thursday:

Near (as I can tell) mint Kiev 4M, 1981 edition (if I'm reading the serial number right). Came with a Helios 103 and the Jupiter 12 AND the auxiliary finder. Oh, and the cool leather strap I made myself just today!

Luckily, it's just a test skin from Aki Asahi (Not to mention how much of a pain it was to get rid of the original "vulcanite")

Edit: Changed the skin to what I originally wanted so now it's a classy Soviet Russian.

I may as well make his my first post. I bought it off of ebay and had to fix a sticky focusing arm and the sticky at the top saved my ass.

my first Zorki

my first Zorki

Notice I said first, this could be the start of a new relationship.

Hi there, this is my first post, I recently bought a Zorki 1 and have become hooked again. I am a commercial photographer who has worked with digital since digi SLR's appeared many moons ago. When I studied photography I was VERY lucky to find a very cheap Leica IIIb with an elmar 5cm 3.5 and not long after I also picked up a dirt cheap M2. In my very poor post uni days I needed to move with the times in order to get myself going in the world of press and commercial photography and in my wisdom I sold all my Leica gear and bought a Canon SLR and some lenses. That was about 20 years ago and recently I have felt regret for doing this. Now I can't really justify investing sooooo much money in another Leica but I wanted to show my son how it 'used to be done' so I picked up this Zorki, we've already shot one roll and all seems good so let the fun begin. This looks a cool place so I hope to post more in the future. Here's my new baby complete with a strap I made.
I have already bought a Jupiter 50mm f2 which should arrive soon.

For my love in Leicas, friends presented me a Zorki-1. I added my Jupiter-12, and now it's my camera of choice for city exploring.
The original leather case is too big for such a small camera, so welshzorki's strap is a good solution.

My first step into rangefinder land other than a couple of Argus C3's. Photo taken with a Zorki-4 and Jupiter-8 on Kodak Ektar film developed in Tetenal C-41 Press Kit.
