I've got a dirt-cheap early FED-2 with partially destroyed vulcanite that I've cleaned and adjusted. I had some uncut Aki-Asahi leather as well, so I did cut it by myself. I've left a small part of camera near the lens mount uncovered, so now I can use the collapsible Industar-50 and 22 with the infinity lock. And also I've got a Samsung point-and-shoot for $2, got a finder from there. The frame inside the finder matches 35mm focal length exacly! Tested with Canon-7 and the soviet turret finder.

Very good, kotokot 21 !
I've been trying to use the finders of disposable film cameras (they are quite bright) and my main problem is the connection between the finder itself and the cold shoe of he camera - very difficult to adjust with precision...
Congrats for the nice job

Thanks! The cold shoe I've got from an old cheap soviet flash (the one that can be used only from the 220V wall plug). Simply cut the shoe away with knife, slightly helping with a hammer, then sand the surface and used a strong glue to connect the shoe with the finder. The top part of the finder was loose and removable, now it's hold in place by the leather covering.

My 1969 KIEV-4A
The Jupiter-12 is the uncommon Arsenal version - there is a metal guard around the rear lens elements.
The front face of KIEV/Contax II always reminds me German Tiger I tank of WW2.

Congrats, that's an impressive combo!

Hello
I allready showed my Zenit M39 SLRs here and also my Start. Now I could get the "missing link" to use my Jupiter-11 and Mir-1 on the Start. First time I bought from a seller in UA. 2 Days ago this little treasure arrived.

It is not only the adapter for M39 to Start bajonet. It is the complete set with of closeup rings and both adapters. Now I can mount Zenit M39 lenses on my Start and also use the original Start Helios 44 for closeup.

Jupiter 11 on Start looks like this. The image in the view finder is much brigther than in the Zenit 3.

What a pitty that I do not have a Jupiter 9 for ZM39.
And finally Start and Zenit 3 side by side with all matching lenses I have.

Wow! I'm looking for adapter for M39 to Start bajonet. But I can not find it for a reasonable price.

My Contax IIIa shutter has become unreliable. I thought I take a chance on an eBay Kiev, to act as a body for my Zeiss and Nikkor "c" lenses. It arrived in 'as described' condition and appears to work well. I had run loo of film, but do not/not yet have the pics.

They seem to be very rare. Almost as rare as the Jupiter 9 in M39 mount for Zenit.Wow! I'm looking for adapter for M39 to Start bajonet. But I can not find it for a reasonable price.
Be patient and keep on searching.
Meanwhile I could find a Jupiter 9 for early Zenit and also a 8.5cm finder for Jupiter 9 on Zorki/Kiev.
Unfortunately the focusing screen on my Start is misaligned. All images are out of focus. Need to find a method to adjust it.
I will Check my other Start if the focus is OK on it.

Waiting long enough and being patient not to buy overpriced items I finally completed my Start.
I could find the Jupiter 9 in M39 Zenit mount and a WLF for the start.

To be on topic again, I placed the start between 2 rangefinders. All fitted with the matching Jupiter 9.

The Jupiter 9 Trio

I do not need the M42 version because I can use the ZM39 version with the M42 adapter.

It is a Chinese 'Great Wall' brand cine lens for 35mm movie format.(16x22mm) But it is quite rare.

I'm part of a group called The Film Shooters Collective, and because we were doing something for Red Oktober, I decided to pull out my Zorki 4 and shoot with it then write an article for our website. Then I decided to pull out my FED 3, and borrow my sister's FED 2, and shoot with with both of those cameras. That led me to doing some internet research on Soviet cameras, which in turn led me to the Zorki 6. After properly looking at the Zorki 6, I have to admit that I kinda fell for it.
After a bit of ebay browsing, and then a few weeks wait, this beauty showed up.
