This is Khruschev, my Kiev 4M.

Equipped with a Helios-103 lens and with Black Lizard embossed genuine leather (from Aki-Asahi).

Bought two FED-2 on eBay, a black painted from confdntart and a normal one from petersburg_deals. Both were listed as tested, and both had problems: the former one had shutter curtains shot by minigun and light leaks between the two curtains when winding, and the latter had shutter capping at high speed.

Fixed the latter at home and installed the black painted plates from the former one on it. Now it's done, after inhaling the 50 years of rusts and dried grease.

Hi,

It looks nice in black, thanks for showing it. Sorry to hear of your problems; the FED 2's adecent camera and worth a bit of trouble to get it going.

Regards, David

New to me this week. 1960 Zorki 6. Somewhat cleaner now after a polish of the silver bits and a scrub of everything else with a soapy toothbrush. Followed by a whole bunch of masking tape and a satin respray of the black painted metal trim. The front element of the Industar started to unscrew when I touched it, so this was removed and washed and the inner element was wiped clean with an ear-bud.

The second photo shows the Z6 fitted with a 1960 J8 from my Zorki 4. Mmmm

With regard to the case I removed all the rivets from the ever-ready case and have 're-purposed' this as a half case with a 'custom' wrist strap made from a leather scrap for the strap (about a $1 worth of leather, purchased by weight). There were also some new rivets applied. The new leather wrist strap sandwiches one of the the original metal clips attached to the fraying original Zorki strap. I like wrist straps; I like walking around with a camera swinging at the end of a length of leather ... Believe me, me taking a photo of you is the least of your problems

So I now have a bag enough of rivets, a rivet punch drift and matching curved base to do dozens and dozens more cases and straps.

You are not the only one who likes the Zorki-6. Just back from complete refurbishment: Z-6 (1963) with I-50 (1962), working as new.

This is my second Z-6 body.
