My modest collection. To be quite honest I find litte difference in the lenses other than the Yashica-A is soft toward the boarders but the 210x210 prints I take off the scans are really great . Many years of shooting Canon 35mm SLR cameras and then on to a 1D and 400D all of which I still use but found It became all to easy as the cameras did so much for you ,with a TLR I have to think more on what I am doing and get a lot more organised before I press the shutter. i have also had a lot of enjoyment and satisfactiion cleaning up and repairing these old boxes .

Gave my 3.5F new leather (Python Snake embossed Leather Cowhide) as the old one was shrinking real badly. I took my time to remove the shrunk up leather bits and remove the clumpy dried out glue while waiting for the new leather to arrive.

The package just arrived this evening, I cut and paste the leather myself . It's not perfect, but I am pretty happy with the end result.

The lastest edition to my TLR line up , a nice example of a Yashica-Mat 66 which appears to be from 1965-66 with some nice extras from the same year. Took some time to free up winding mechanism and shutter and clean off the years of general grime but I now have another Mat to go with my 124G

That's a nice clean example.

If you're going to regularly use a tripod, look out for a device called a "Rolleifix" - it's worth its weight in gold .

I will give a time to shoot with the cord first, so may be in a year from now I will go for a flex pref., one without a meter.

Just for clarification, a Rolleifix is a tripod adaptor which gives better support to the tripod mount on the Rolleicord or Rolleiflex. Not essential, but sensible nonetheless as the base is essentially the film door and not particularly strong. Also acts as a quick-release for tripods lacking that feature.

FWIW I too prefer meterless Rollei TLRs :)

Good tip. I may be sending this baby to Braunschweig for CLA and in the mean-time have to find a hood and filters(Yellow,Green and Orange).

Welcome triton3k, Nice tidy looking 124G . If you have not got one yet a lens hood is a real good acc to have ,I love shooting with these old things.
