Portrait of wooden rod puppet artist.

Mr Ramdan appears to be merely a roadside seller for the wooden rod puppet. But actually, he is the maker, he owns a workshop which is just within walking distance from the famous street in Bandung, Braga St. Braga st is where the term of "Paris Van Java" for Bandung inspired. He lamented that Braga st is no longer like the old days, peaceful, beautiful and less crowded. He grew up in the street playing all kind old-school toys unlike kids nowadays. The wooden rod puppet business was passed down to him from his deceased dad many years back, sadly, none of his kids is learning the skillset and going to continue the business. He hoped one of his grandchildren will continue the family tradition.

Do drop by on Braga street when you happen to visit Bandung, there are many art vendors along the street. (I missed the shots, the first roll ever in medium format, will need to practice burning many rolls)
