I'm thinking about building a small kit of uncoated Leica lenses, just because I want to mostly. So how about some pics taken with uncoated lenses? Let's see what you have. Please post what lens it is too of you can.
Take care,

You can expect less shadow detail, less saturated colors, and blown highlights, and a low contrast image.
Have a 50 3.5, 90 4.0 & 135 4.5. All image the same
If the lens is fogged, expect the same but worse and if foggy enough the sharpness goes. .

1930's Summar wide open with an extension tube on a Sony NEX-3 - this was practice for a series that I plan to do this summer of rare and endangered wildflowers in Western Pennsylvania

Hello,
I wonder if the work of the British Photographer, the late James Ravilious, might give you some idea of the results obtainable with uncoated Leica lenses.

These are great! Thanks for sharing, as I had never heard of Mr. Ravilious before.
Excellent images from everyone else, as well. Further proof that it's the photographer and not the gear that makes the picture. Who needs all those new-fangled coatings
I have an old uncoated nickel 5cm Elmar that is in desperate need of a CLA, and then I'll be joining in the uncoated fun.

Watch that step!
Wow!
Those "uncoated" Rollei pix are amazing ~ I have a 1939 IA that needs a CLA ~ (who repairs Rolleiflex in the USA?) ~ My kudos to Chris and MT for such kool shots showing a nearly forgotten art from camera

Mine has a lot of scratches on the lens and had some haze inside when I made those pics. I recently had the lens cleaned but have not tested it yet. So, yeah the results are very nice considering the camera's condition. This ancient Rollei was my first medium format camera. When I was 15 my dad took me to a photo swap meet and an old man there had nothing for sale but this camera and some misc. Rollei parts and accessories. He wanted $75 for the camera and my dad offered him $65, which the man took.

Several years ago I was able to borrow an uncoated 1936 Leica Elmar 90/4. It was in beautiful shape. After looking at the results, I tried to buy it, but the owner wouldn't sell. I can't blame him!
