Thanks for the flashbulb info and generosity!

What's the difference between a 25B and a M25B? I'm about to go forward into the past with my Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model which uses a 25 or 25b. These little suckers thow out the light! (I guess this is getting pretty off topic so I will include a gratuitous repost of a portrait of my FED.)

Only the size. The 25B (middle) is the sort for your Hawkeye (and I would hunt around for some 25ASA film while you're at it unless you want to stand really far away from your subject!) whereas the M25B has the midget 'M' type base. Both have the same output of about GN200ft@100ASA
'M' base midget bulbs are *much* cheaper than the larger bulbs so you might look around for a bulb adaptor so that you can use them in your Brownie!

If I can make a final off-topic comment, one of the best things about flashbulbs is that you can use tungsten-balanced ones. If you are on colour print film try using clear bulbs instead of daylight 'B' bulbs indoors. The difference is enormous, no more pasty-white faces against brown backgrounds with strange orange room-lights. If you're using slide you can always stick a 40B/40C filter on the front.
Have fun!

I think I've been bitten by FSU bug. I'd better stop visiting this place before suddenly waking up with cameras all over the table and floor of my house.
