Show us your Kershaw folder and pics

I acquired a Kershaw Eight-20 Penguin last year.

Only used it the once so far. I'd done a check for holes in the bellows by shining a light inside the bellows while I sat in a darkened room.
But then I got strange results of which this was one of the better.

I repeated the torch test and only when shining directly at the corners did I spot the tiny pinprick holes in the corners near the attachment to the body.
Must try and fix that up, and try it again.
 
PVA adhesive and old umbrella fabric - cut the fabric to size, put the glue on it, work it into place inside the bellows (might be an idea to practice without glue first!), get it as firmly in place as you can, then close the camera. Open it out after a minute or two, check everything is still where you put it, and if you can leave it three parts open for the glue to set into the folds.

Well, that's what I do. I anticipate hundreds of posts now about what a bad idea that is!

Hi all - I appreciate this is an old thread but I'm looking for help everywhere! I was left a Raven Kershaw camera by my grandparents. I've figured out what everything is and does (coming from a DSLR background it wasn't too tricky) but the only thing I can't figure out is how to release the shutter! I have cocked the little lever on the front of the camera, but I can't for the life of me find a button or switch to release it! Any ideas? There's a small silver 'button' next to the lever and in it there is screwed a tiny gold / brass thread. Taking this out or moving it affects whether or not I can move the lever mentioned above.

Any ideas?

The shutter on the Raven is cocked and released in a single movement by the lever.

'Fraid I can't be more specific as I have never had that particular camera. I would poke around to find how to open up the shutter and see what's going on (or not) inside. You might need to get some precision small screwdrivers etc. if you haven't got them to hand already. Good luck 🙂
