My first Contax was the 139Q. I loved it and especially the dedicated flash stystem. I was very sad when it died. I got some Yashia to replace it.

One day I got a deal on a 167MT out of Canada. I really like that camera! All the time I have lusted for Contax lenses, but never been able to afford one other than two 50mm f/1..4 lenses at $20 apiece. I envy you your 28mm there. Do you have others?

Not a big deal as I have a good stable of Fujinon lenses and an ST901 if I need them. But still, Contax glass is so good too.

My other Contax lens is Planar 50/1.7. I originally tried to get the Planar 50/1.4 but the price was high at that time. So I comprised to get 50/1.7. It's said the IQ of 50/1.7 is better than 50/1.4. Never try 50/1.4 and hopefully it is.

The frosted glass in the window gave a prismatic reflection.

What is the base on that body?

From memory, it looks like the protective base that shipped with the FM2. Bought mine in 1985 so the memory might be a little faulty at this point!
