Recently got a K1000 assembled in China, the lens is made in Taiwan!?
Feels a lot plastic'ier than other K1000's I've handled...

Great collection of Nikons!

Mike, I like the black F with the Nikkor-S 50mm f/2, but I like the others too!

Erik.

Thanks, it's a true working collection though lately my S2 & SP have been getting a disproportional amount of my shooting attention. Many of the early F's I purchased back in 72 - 74 when they were still available in mom & pop camera stores (those were the days) along with my SP. I was offered a new black paint SP w/50 f1.1 & hood for $822 (a lot of money back in 72) but I turned it down. Still kicking myself for that one.

Latest acquisition: a very nice Spotmatic with a 50mm f/1.4 Super Tak. Wonderful camera and lens. I’d held off on getting one for a long time because I didn’t think I would like stop down metering. The meter I this one does not work but turns out I rather enjoy shooting with a meter less camera.

My first ever Nikon (after being fairly dedicated to Pentax for my SLR fix). Really just an experiment at the moment, to see how the legend feels in the hand :)

Nikon F, Photomic T and Nikkor-S 50/f1.4

Was the AF in the Minolta 7000 just terrible or was it me?

The maxxum 7000 was the first onbody af camera - you can forgive it for not being amazing

I have 3 of them and even though they don't have some of the features I like on a camera I still really dig em'. When the collection is finally thinned they will remain.......
