I needed a digital camera with a quirky lens, so I bought this about a month ago:

A surprisingly good camera. Now that my Pentax ME has started experiencing an erratic lightleak problem, the Chinon is my main PK-mount camera.

Rheinmetall Exa with Schneider Xenon 1.9/50.
Got the Xenon for next to nothing, bizarrely, on ebay, only two bidders and little back and forth. I placed my last second snipe bid expecting to see the price rise suddenly - and nothing. Finished at under $40. Ridiculous luck, or proof of how bad photos can spoil an auction.

In bright key sun I can shoot J Lane EI 2 glass negs, at 1/125, which is the top speed of Makiflex Standard. Here a 9x12cm glass plate is loaded, this shoots a 9x9cm onto 9x12cm material. These happen to be Voigtlander plate holders, I have many kinds. Camera mounted and balanced on Manfrotto Monopod, ready to shoot. It's a GOOD workout to carry this beast around. Monopod a necessity I think as I get older. Bokeh and DOF/"look" is amazing. This is a theatrical projection commercial 35mm and 70mm commercial motion picture type. This lens will focus out to about 25 feet, enough for my uses. Intend to do some portraits soon.

Front Swings and Tilits with the Automatic Makiflex. Using the Pecoflex to Makiflex Adapter and the Bag Bellows I hacked to fit the adapter. Shown with 180mm F5.6 Componon lens. Dirt cheap and great lens for shooting. About as good as a Symmar

Crazy, never seen that before. Any story behind this rig?

A really neat and small AF SLR from 1997.
The pack on the bottom is the Pentax FG Battery pack that allows you to use 4AA batteries.
Surprisingly small and quiet with a range of useful features like AE lock and DOF preview. 3 meter modes 2 AF modes Aperture Priority and Program Auto...
Program Auto as well as Focus Confirmation works with Pentax-A lenses which is nice.

I have an exactly identical Rheinmetall Exa. With an even more "abnormal" price than yours. But I don't remember if it was even an auction (probably yes). I bought it to complete my Exakta collection and for the fun of having a camera made by a former manufacturer of heavy weapons during WW2.
