Right! The RTS series are the real Contax SLRs (RTS and RTS II). While the Kyoccera Contaxes are superb cameras, the Yashica Contaxes are built to last forever (except for the leatherette and light seals)

OK, the big guy on the right is a Pentax K-something full-frame because only Pentax has the special Sv (sensitivity priority) and TAv (shutter and aperture priority
[*]). The small guy on the left with the interesting controls - I have no idea. Some micro-4/3 I think.

Pretty much all correct! The K-something is easy, the FF Pentax is called the K1, it's still their first FF DSLR. Sv is a weird mode, where you can specify ISO but leave the rest to P mode. TAv is rather more useful for me, as it's manual with auto-ISO, where you can use exposure comp. Not every manufacturer thinks this needs a mode of its own, but I find it useful to switch back and forth from M to TAv. The small one is the Olympus E-M5 Mark II, with a later iteration of the venerable 16mp M4/3 sensor. One of the most solid and weighty small cameras ever made, I think, carved from magnesium alloy, even the EVF hump.

Another MF-23 multifunction control back for an F4s. I now have two F4s’s with these backs.
What do I use them for? Primarily for imprinting exposure information between the frames. I love that feature. I’ve also used it in “focus capture” mode, whereby the camera is stationary and pointed at some region and the shutter trips when an object enters that region and comes into focus (think of birds landing on a branch, for example).
The MF-23 has other functions such as delays, an intervalometer, and much more. Read about it here near the lower half of the page:
