After years of use my trusty Domke satchel's seams started to disintegrate. I had already replaced the cotton web strap with a nylon one at a local leather shop with an industrial strength sewing machine.

Show your dead bags. The bag is dead, long live the (next) bag.

Bump. Can't believe there are no more been-to-the-ends-of-the-earth-and-back bags here. Bring 'em out I say.

Ben

I go through too many bags to ever wear them out. I currently have a Hadley Small which is about to go in the classifieds which looks as good as when I bought it some year ago having only been used as hand luggage when travelling. If I ever find the 'perfect' bag maybe that'll be the one that eventually wears out.

I've put my Tenba 995 back together so many times I can't keep track.
Seams restitched, strap anchors re-inforced, new shoulder strap modified and attached, Velcro tabs replaced, and complete new bottom sewn onto bag. It's the once and future bag, and will likely outlast me, so I'll probably never replace it. Besides, I've yet to see another bag at any price that I thought was better, anyway.
