I picked up an Elmar 5.0cm f/3.5 some months ago; finally got around to fitting it to the M10-M and taking it for a walk. I can't make out the serial number ... somewhere along the line, the aperture adjustment ring where the *tiny* serial number is stamped was repainted with a thick lacquer and most of the numbers are indecipherable without using a wire wheel to remove the lacquer, but I think it's late '40s to middle '50s as it has antireflection coatings. It is in nice shape overall and performs well.
