Chalk and play

Resurrecting this thread. Decided to exercise an old 5cm 3.5 Red Scale Elmar on the MP240 today while playing with my son in some much needed sunshine.

These are all JPG
medium low contrast
Yellow filter setting
slight contrast adjustment in Lightroom + light film grain

First try with a Leica, Pan?

Erik.

It is quite old - 2011 i think. In 2016 it developed a pinhole on the shutter and it makes a grinding noise when advancing the film. It is waiting patiently in the cupboard for me to gather some money and send it to Alan Starkie for a CLA.
Here is one from the last film i shot with it before it developed the pinhole.

Seeing this thread surface again coincides with my receiving of this lenshood in today's mail.
My 1938 50mm f/3.5 is a favorite but it can be a bit touchy where flare is concerned. This hood is fairly tight fit press-on with a seperate rubber retaining ring to hold 39mm filters. The maker says it will fit 35mm Elmars and Summarons but it looks a little small where vignetting might be concerned. It does block a portion of the in-camera finder. He fully admits that no one will mistake it for a genuine Leica hood but it fills a real need for me. It will allow changing the aperture without removing the hood also. See what you think.
