New here..but with a "new" Zeiss folding camera!
New here..but with a "new" Zeiss folding camera!
Hi to all...!
Just signed into this forum after viewing some pages from this thread.
A lot of great shots!
As I'm just back to analogue photography I just bought (apart from a Nikkormat Ftn and a Yashic Mat 124g) my first folding ever: a Zeiss Ikonta 521/2 6X9 with Novar f/4,5.
The camera is in good conditions and works..so I'm testing (and learning) it. As soon I'll develop my first roll hope to be able to post a shot here....
Actualy I'm looking for a 6X6 of the same class of price for more versatility.
So keep up posting those great photos with those great cameras!

Someone stops me......!
Just bought this one: Rheinmetall Weltax mit Carl Zeiss Tessar 3,5/75
(and a Zeiss Ikophot lightmeter)
Just can't stop looking at all the great shots with folders here...! I'd buy every single camera listed in....
Better I'd close my bay account.......:bang:
Anyway, waiting for the camera and for the 1th developed roll with Ikonta 6X9.....

Yes, thank you. Combined with modern color film this uncoated lens produces some very special effects.

Great shot!

I like it! I have one of those Bessas (if you mean the coupled-rangefinder model), also with the Helomar. Yes the triplet struggles with sharpness near the edges but, ahem, "it adds character." Your picture looks like one straight out of 1937 (if not earlier), appropriately for the camera. I'm curious: What caused the curved impingement across the top of the frame? Is that an artefact with the camera, or were you standing beneath some sort of roof/awning?

Well done, Shawn. Earlier this summer, I rediscovered color film in medium format. What a joy it is.
