Your PH-324's look pretty beat up like mine, Archive59.
Do yours still have the Army data tags on them? Or any other markings?

I'm afraid none of the three PH-324 in my possession have tags or other army markings unless you count the remains of green paint under the slapped on black paint. I think you've mentioned before that you are not prepared to pay the silly prices demanded for a camera with all or some of the original markings, and I have to agree. I was quite keen to get this one because it has brass metal work unlike the other ones that have 'white' metal under the black paint. Amusingly the seller seemed to claim that this was the camera that took that famous photograph at Iwo Jima. I assume he meant the same type, but he was wrong with that anyway. It seemed to keep the price down rather than elevate it as he no doubt intended. It has a very smooth shutter at least. The third PH-324 I have has been covered with thick leather over the Bakelite body. It seems to me that so many of these cameras were brought back into the civilian world by people who wanted to hide their history. I also have a silver civilian model with the military shutter fitted.
There are some more photographs of Kodak 35 on my tumblr page archive59dottumblr.com.

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks Mark,

I've found someone who replicates nomenclature plates for military vehicles and other hardware. He's working on creating a couple of tags for my PH-324s and one for my Combat Graphic.

Just did this last night:
Blue reptile leather piece, Tandy leather skiver, 3M adhersive transfer tape, and Excel knife.:)
It was a pain to thin the leather from 1.3mm down to ~0.5mm (who knows what it really is). First time haha.

Looks like a Vito B. The small veiwfinder version was manufactured from around 1953 through 1957. I have just aquired a similar version with the f2.8 lens. The Color Scopar lens was well regarded and the build quality and finish is excellent. I'll be trying mine out very soon.

Perkeo II + story

Perkeo II + story

I found this one few years ago in a flea market.
It was sitting unfold on a table and from quite a distance I recognized the typical voigtländer door and I hurried up to get a closer look...actually I was dreaming of a bessa II with the APO Lanthar...but still, can´t complain and it´s much more pocketable and the skopar is a nice lens, I should use it more!

The shade and a yellow filter were an easy find on the bay and costed more than the camera itself..

Shot with a crown graphic on expired polaroid type 54 film:

Gosh, those Kodac Retinas look very similar to what I consider my first camera. Here's a picture of it that my sister down in Australia sent me.
