Improving daily--I think.
Perhaps a little early for the natural "patina" to have developed yet. There was a thread on here 2-3 weeks ago about someone who took sandpaper to their M8 (or was it an M9?) to "age" it a bit but that's another story...

This is Tina Manley's: http://www.pbase.com/kididdoc/image/121950829 Salt spray from being near the sea has seemed to be particularly nasty to my M8 and mine looks even worse than Tina's but I use my cameras to take photos, I don't take photos of my cameras.

No disrespect intended but did it really wear naturally like that as it looks too neat! Have you had it from new? I carried my m2 and mp for ages in my bag and used them quite a lot and they never wear even.
Tina's camera looks like it's been in a bag getting banged about by other gear and looks like a working camera. No severe brassing just scratches.

Wow, non-Leica owners really are exigent on the things they don't own.
I don't use a case and I use my M8.2 a lot... yet it still doesn't look bad, just some edge brassing. I guess using it on the cushy streets of NYC doesn't do much for wear.

I bought it second hand but it only had a couple thousand on it. The original owner claimed it was carried EVERYWHERE in her purse and it sure looks like it. It is natural brassing. You can tell when looking closely that this is not a sandpaper job
This is Tina Manley's:

I wonder why she doesn't take the plastic off her LCD... it didn't seem to do the job.

Not really well-worn. But a little worn.
I really don't find this BP to be very durable at all. Particularly not the paint on the baseplate.
