Hi RFF friends,

For modern rangefinder, is that only Leica M7 has this feature (Work like modern AF/MF SLR, point-and-shoot and DC, half-press the shutter release can lock the exposure)? Any other brands also have this?

Because I checked the manual of Zeiss Ikon as well as Voigtlander Bessa, they have a separate AE lock button at the back, need to press it for locking. That seems not as convenience as M7.

Any more idea and experience on these?

Thanks~

The Contax G2 has a half-press of the shutter to temporarily fix exposure, and a separate button on the back like the Bessas and Zeiss Ikon but that's to lock the AF.

FWIW, the Minolta CLE does not have an exposure lock feature. Wish it did.
