Well, I never had that problem with the shutter speed dial on my SLR, and I don't own Leicas. But when you get different lens manufacturers on SLRs that sometimes happens. I never noticed it until I read about it in a magazine aritcle. Then it bugged for for a while, until I realized it didn't take much rotation either way to know if the images was getting in focus or out, and I never worried about it again.
With shutter speeds, I usually didn't move them that much, going with the aperture as some above. When I did, if I was looking in the viewfinder, I either saw more or less exposure, so knew with one click which way was right. It just never bothered me.
Now I suppose it will for a while. Thanks gotium.

I dealt with this by selling all my Nikkor lenses and buying an AF zoom. Yes I'm a philistine, I know...The difference in focus direction, & often length of focus throw, between the Leica & Zeiss Ikon Contax/Nikon RFs is harder for me to handle quickly.

I only use 2 M6ttl . Late seventies I had a Ducati 750 sport and a BMW R90/6 , one braking left hand side and the other right hand side , the Beemer had to go for sure , pretty dangerous .
