shutter speed indicator - what speed should the red mark land on?

I recently bought an UG CL from KEH - I sent it to their repair shop after noticing the slow speeds seemed off a bit. Now that I have it back, I'm noticing something else (that probably escaped my eye the first time). It looks like the shutter speed indicator in the viewfinder is off by one stop - the indicator is over the next slower speed. If the dial is set to 1/500 the indicator is directly over the top of 1/250. Is this correct operation for a CL? The manual doesn't really say.

Mine is slightly to the left of the selected speed but falls more in the white space between the two shutter speeds. The base of the parallelogram falls just under the selected speed though.
