Before the gray, dark, expensive day I discovered RFF -GAS I was a happy film PS shooter with a few SLRs thrown in. Rfs sounded like a good idea. I went through a few FSUs, some fixed lens, and a Leica along with a Bessa or two. I processed my own bw thanks to RFF too.
Enough, I sold off the film gear, some of it going in the great RFF give-away.
I decided a nice, RF-like digi ps was the thing so I read reviews here and elsewhere and tried a few including G9, G-10 and lx3. Nice gear but no matter how I fussed with the settings I got #$%$# shutter lag, bad lag in some cases.
I gave up on the whole idea and got a low-level Nikon D-40 with kit lens and I am surprised with the results. Very nice output with no lag. It's just not a pocket camera.
I'm sure parts of this story are familiar to many. Any opinions on where to go next?
