Came in the mail yesterday, (THANKS ANDY), and Artisan and Artist, *clears throat*
“Sabastio's Reporter Satchel”

anyway, it's nice, you can see it here.
I'm going out for the day so I have a pair of M's and a pair of lenses, some film, meter, flash and a small table top tripod. Fits comfortably but firm, I like that.
More padding then my domke? Seems like it, the domke's aren't known for padding though. It's a little fancy for me but I'm going to give it a shot. The velcro is loud though, don't like that, I used some duct tape to quiet them.
I don't know how I feel about the fancy flap, I might apply some duct tape there as well...

Nice looking bag, got to love the padding... but "Sabastio's Reporter Satchel"???? :D:D (just don't tell anyone and remove any tags...) Would love to hear how you like it after the trip.

Cool, looks the same size as a Billingham Hadley Pro.

Woo... just checked the website, these people make some expensive stuff - this is the same price as the Billingham.

I have their old "Doctor's Bag" which is great for Leicas. But believe it or not, my favorite Leica bag is the National Geographic small (I think that's the size). It's made beautifully out of real duck cloth and perfectly holds one Leica body with attached lens and 4 other lenses. You hardly know its there. Got mine from B&H for a song.

Looks nice, though I don't like any of the colour choices ("any colour you want as long as it's black") and it's the price that is "sick"!

These A&A bags are really well made, as the price would indicate.

I'm happy with my Domke F2, and almost happy with my littlest Domke satchel- wish they'd make the 'Little Big Bigger' version of that.

cmogi10, I have the same bag. It's a bit larger than what I had originally wanted, but I just got a new MP today so I'm filling it up pretty fast. Inside sits the MP, M6TTL, Summicron 35/f2.0 ASPH, Summicron 50/f2, Elmar 50/f2.8, Voightlander 25/f4, FL-20, Panasonic Lumix LX2, several rolls of film, Moleskine notebook, and bunch of other neccesities.

They are extremely well made. I also have a Domke 5-XB for lighter travel.

It's an Ideal sized bag for a medium sized rangefinder kit. I carry a lot of film so that takes up a bit of room.
It's definetely in the same price range as the Billingham Bags, also nice bags.

Nice looking bag, Carl. How does it compare size-wise to the Domke F-5xb?

-Randy

Thanks Randy, I don't actually own the 5-xb, I never ordered it but I do own the J-803, it's about the same size...ish, I havn't made any measurements yet, but it's very similar.

Very nice bag. Quite pricey though. (I had to go look it up)

I want one.

looks fine, but price is 3x what I'd be willing to pay.

I don't think I could of every have justified the price if I was buying it new but I got a good enough deal on it that I figured why not give it a shot.

So far I like it, time will tell, the strap is super comfortable, much nicer then the domke strap but that's an easy upgrade.
The padding is nice, real easy to get a body with a lens mounted in and out and it's safe and snug. When I use the Domke I don't really think about the lack of padding and don't lose sleep over it but the extra insurance is light and nice.

It lives to be used another day :)

It's been about a week but this bad is a definate keeper, havn't really found a complaint yet.
The padding is fantastic.

Nice, can you take the padding out like on the Billingham Hadley bags, so you can use it for general stuff as well?

Artisan and Artist makes some great camera straps as well.

You can.

Update, A+A bag fits and pads nicely a bottle of Tequila.
I will return with many blurry shots :)

Where does one find information about this National Geographic bag. And what is this Doctor's bag?
