Only downside of the grip is that it takes up the tripod bush without offering an alternative one, unlike the triggerwinder, which does. Still keep one on the Bessa T though, for the otherwise improved handling.
It's very easy to drill and tap a 1/4-20 hole in it. It's fairly thin so some tripod threads may bottom out before seating, so use a head w/ a QR plate that you can dedicate to the Bessa if you need to grind the bolt as little. Works for me anyway.
