Image quality is excellent. Very compact, easy enough to use when you get the hang of it. Decent manual focus, no shutter lag when using it manual focus. Auto focus as bad as any point and shoot. Almost deal breaker slow RAW buffer. Seriously, waiting around 4 seconds between each shot can be very frustrating. I bought this when it first came out, and immediately took it on a three week trip, with only one battery. I found if I charged it every night I got good battery usage. I wish the lens was a stop faster. Only goes to ISO 800 which can limit it's usability in low light. Again, I must stress the high quality images when shooting in RAW. I did find that for black ad white purposes you didn't need to shoot in Raw, so the camera use is faster, but the auto white balance is terrible. If I were transported back in time to when this first came out, I would buy it again, even knowing what I know now. If I was living in the now and Needed to have a large sensor compact, I would highly consider it. If I was living in the now and could wait a bit I would wait and see what Olympus does with the micro 4/3rds system and a fast prime.

I have one. I bought it hoping for good low-light performance due to the large sensor, but it has not materialized (Foveon sensors have poor sensitivity and the f/4 lens is just too slow). My Fuji F31fd is much better in this respect.
The wide-angle lens, excellent optics and image quality make it an excellent pocketable daytime tourist's camera, however. Just be aware of its limitations, specially shooting speed. When combined with a Manfrotto 797 micro-tripod, it is quite versatile.

I have one along with my Ms. Within it's limitations it's an amazing camera but it's no M nor a d-slr.
Use a fast SD card, shoot B&W (push to 3200iso) and as long as you enjoy 28mm - it's an amazing camera.
Have a look at the results:

For what the foveon sensor can do (skills permitting) visit:

I'm considering selling mine purely coz i need cash - otherwise i will keep it.

Thanks for info guys. What about the image size, can you make a print as big as print from a camera with a "normal" 14mp sensor?
