Sigma DP2 in stock everywhere

I think there WAS a recession and now we're headed towards a great global depression.

But I hope not ...

I thought we skipped the recession and went right into a depression. Wasn't that why Bush said that there wasn't a recession? :D

Does anyone know if there is a review on this camera yet?

thinking about it but then the m43 comes to mind... wait for that... pray for some wides!

I am looking forward to the Samsung NX. Probably not as cool as the Oly 4/3, but the APS-C sensor is very tempting.

Buying these DP cameras is smarter when they are priced at around 150 to 250 Euro. I got my DP1 at the latter price but just two weeks ago they could be had (for a very short time only) for 159 Euro. Now they have shot back up in price.

High ISO shots on the DP1 should probably to be converted to grayscale and although grainy the results look quite good when processed in SPP.

Locally we have DP1 at about eur900 tag. How cool compact should be to justify this price? Heck, I'll dig out Lynx 14 for this rainy day.

MediaMarkt München Ost bei der Neueröffnung.

The last I heard (approx. two weeks ago), the price went back up to 199 Euro a few days after this special offer.

I spotted a few DP1s on german ebay just after the sale, boxes sealed in the classic MediaMarkt red bands.

Mediamarkt München - other Mediamarkt branches seem to have had them for 199€ in mid May, but did not offer the extra Munich opening discount. There might still be some around.

But the bottom end on them isn't hit yet, if they'll go by the usual price curve, they'll briefly drop below a hundred once officially discontinued, as the remaining stock is shifted off to old stock discounters.
