Every day is special
Every day is special
Mike, et al, Thanks for the welcome!
Looking forward to seeing more of all your images!
A warning about me, I am a full blown environmentalist, lover of our 'Pale Blue Dot' and in appreciation of everything this natural world offers.
My years bely my immaturity! LOL! Hope to grow up soon!
I've set a project for myself to document our local natural environment thru the seasons - however that happens to be here in Central Ca, USA - focused primarily on the area I mentioned in my prior post.
The idea is for images to tell the story.
So here goes...
In my prior/first post, the image shows a series of white banners along the beach. That is a 'protected' nesting area for a local endangered species - The Snowy Plover - 1st image here.
The entire nature/open space area is a patchwork of old, 'abandoned' prior use, and nature taking back what it has always owned. image 2
There are many special residents/neighbors - like our Shore/Estuary/Migratory Birdlife - as with the Great Blue Heron watching its mate on their nest in this old Eucalyptus. This image shows one of the 'issues' I need to adapt to - AF focusing with the SDQ is clearly predisposed to strong contrast vertical and horizontal elements, like branches and vegetation - I'm learning...
BTW 0- unless otherwise noted all images are with the 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM Contemporary - really learning to love this lens!
every day is special...
Thx
Yuri

All that talk about zoom lenses in the "Zoom" thread made me want to break out one of mine and give it a spin.
