But it does give me an idea. Who wants to start a thread called "Your Other Significant Other"?

OK, that could be dangerous. First, if it's of an RF, your main SO will be further disposed to further discount your second love. If it's of another person, i.e. a member of the opposite sex who is very special to you, you're on even thinner ice. Hmmm. Maybe I'll put on my skates...

We have the most beautiful, tolerant and understanding "significant others" imagineable. Heres mine, caught in mid-slurp, in San Francisco at a coffehouse. Almost ten years, we celebrate our anniversaries in SF every year.
She's the most patient and smart woman I know. She teaches Kindergarten, and her kids love her.

Here's my wife of 15 years, holding my newest little cousin. She is from the former Soviet Union originally, but has now been here longer than she lived there. She says that I take better pictures of her than anyone, *but* still insists on the right to censor pictures of her before I can show them to anyone. So I occasionally kid her by calling her the Minister of Culture. 😀

And yes, this picture was approved. . .

Certainly a difficult subject to capture. But she is already used to it. 🙂

Indeed. I was trolling the "Faces to Names" thread and thought to myself, "Geez. I really should consider a change in hobbies. The RFF gals look pretty good, but the guys... yikes! Wonder if squinting one eye so much screws up your whole face? Like.... permanent!"

Then I popped over to this thread and realized, "Okay, the better halves look pretty stable. Long as we keep them around, we'll be okay."

Here are two pics of my wife. I agree she is my most difficult subject. She doesn't object (anymore) to having her picture taken, but even in the most relaxed circumstances, pointing a camera at her makes her nervous. (And this in turn makes me nervous and insecure)

I thought that this forum was about "our Other Significant Others", that is those that are listed on signatures, fill the forums, and the classifieds daily: the means by which we participate in this black art. Any other construction is likely to be dangerous to one's longevity: GAS is bad enough.

Don't see much nervous in these shots, mac. Looks like a very successful effort photographing a very pretty subject to me.
