I've been using Silky Pix RAW converter s/w for a while now with my G1 images. I find it works okay, but have several issues.

First, it's slow, as it appears to be manipulating the viewed image real-time. Hence I've found the need to zoom into a smaller portion of the image, perform the required image adjustments, then zoom out to full screen to see the final results before developing as a TIFF.

I also don't see an easy way to adjust the histogram of the RAW file in S P (like adjusting the dark and light points). Hence I usually wait to do this to the developed TIFF file in PS. There are slider arrows you can move around on the histogram display, but they don't appear to offer any practical use, such as clipping the histogram.

Finally, I would like to learn to do batch processing of my files, since I tend toward bumping up contrast, color intensity and sharpening about the same amount, a batch process could do this on a whole group of images more efficiently while I was away from the PC doing something else. SP seems very cryptic in this regard.

Any personal experience in using SP? Sure, I can use Google like anyone else; but I'm interested in hearing other's personal experience with Silky Pix s/w.
