Silly ebay prices

A very nice example and an excellent ad equalls 2x what I've seen similar ones go for. Good for the seller, not so good for me as other sellers will see that sale and think that's a sane price to expect... 🙁 Hopefully noone who knows better will see that incorrectly listed Mess-Ikonta... :angel:

Oh, that Yashica does beat this one for sheer silliness. But that was such an unreal case while this had 39 bids with no real bidding war like that one. No, this had a 2 feedback idjit who probably thinks he paid an appropriate price for the camera. And that screws up someone like me who doesn't want to spend stupid amounts for a given antique. But really wants one of them... 😀 :bang: :angel:

Yeah, the GSN takes the cake. In fact the GSN wasn't in such pristine condition as this example.

At least this guy will be able to pay for all those images.

you can buy a russian moskva 2 ikonta clone for under USD$50. It would go well with your kiev 5. You can buy a lot of film or a plane ticket to somewhere for a photo expedition for the difference between this ikonta and a wannabe ikonta. The experience will be similar. I have an Ikonta b and a moskva 5, The process of using these cameras substantially the same.

I have watched a few auctions from that seller. He/she seems to have a good reputation, offers a CLA'd camera, and more often then not the auctions close "high". You are right William, good for them. Nice stuff to window shop for though.
