I haven't noticed film prices going up at all. Film is still pretty cheap to use, especially if you develop it yourself or have it developed (colour isn't worth doing at home except as an education) and then scan the negs.

How many ounces of silver goes into manufacturing a 30 meter (98 ft.) roll of bulk film do you guys think? How much goes into a single roll of film? Anyone have any ideas?
I know in my old school dark room there used to be a company that came to empty our darkroom waste, and if I recall correctly the company usually paid 300 SEK (roughly 20$) for the waste they collected, they usually came twice a year.
