Silver Pressure Plate

Before I take my "new" Signet 35 out for a test drive I'm wondering what effect the bright silver polished pressure plate will have. Any? Should I shoot only B&W? Are modern films opaque and there will be no light reflection and ghost image? Should I paint it flat black?

Any comment appreciated.

I should think there is no problem, Kodak no doubt tested it with their own range of colour and B/W films, I know however with experience that silver pressure plates are problematical with IR films, as are plates with patterns and dimples on them.
