I'm a little confused regarding my 'Silver' RAPIDWINDER II because researching the various RAPIDWINDER models released over the years suggests that 'Silver' were intended for the M2 only. My 'Silver' RAPIDWINDER II fits my M6 and M6 TTL and functions perfectly. Is the 'Silver' a scarce version and is it OK to continue using it on the M6 TTL?

Thanks for reading

I have a silver Rapidwinder II and use it on my M6TTl. It may be that the ones made for the M2 only came in silver, but there were silver Rapidwinder IIs for the M4-2 and following models.

The Rapidwinder II was made in many finishes, both for the M6 and M2.

Likewise the M2 Rapidwinder II was also made in chrome and black paint.

Do you have an idea about how many Rapidwinder II’s were made? Specifically in silver? I have one of each but can find no information about the RWII Silver (mine comes with a grip). Thank you.

Do you still own this?

TA Rapidwinder for M2 in black fitted to M1 with Minolta Super-Rokkor 50/1.8… Can use zone focus but for precise focusing need FOKOS rangefinder for this. Vertically challenged form factor :) IMG_1496.jpeg
