Just a few pics trying out my new rangefinder camera. No track shots though I'm afraid, only had a 28mm f1.9 lens on.

You have some very nice compositions. I like the yellow, black, yellow Lambo shot with the pavement stripes. Is the car in the Lipscomb livery the new Fiat 500? We don't have the 500 yet.

Thanks. It's very hard to take decent photographs at a car show with all the punters in the way; it forces you to make tight compositions to create the feeling you are not at a show.
The little car is indeed the Fiat 500 Abarth. I see them ALL THE TIME here in the UK, they are almost too common, just like the new MINI. They don't half shoot around the track, though. I liked the spare wheels in that photo which kind of lead the eye, but don't like the way I clipped the front of the car off. I too another in landscape where the whole car is there but it isn't such a pleasing composition.
Cheers for the comments, this was my first proper outing with the R-D1 and I have to say I am extremely impressed and it wasn't a burden to carry around all day. The 1:1 viewfinder and 28mm (40mm) lens meant I could compose the shot with my own eyes before bringing the camera up to grab it.

I agree with the others #4 is a winner for me, Its unique, not your typical immaculate paint job perfectly composed within the car show situation. It's gritty look conveys raw speed and handling.

The last two Maserati shots are fabulous!

Thanks again folks.
Those who like the 'unfinished' look of the Maserati (Didn't actually get the model) might like this old thing - as someone else said on here in the R-D1 forum, it looks like something James Bond would have to defuse!

Yes, I do like it, even better than the other, wonderful colors. Print it, hang it.

Photographer?
I would bet money that you could sell that Maserati shot to the members of a car club for a decent price... Just saying. Nice work.
