Can't seem to find info on this after about half an hour with the Google.
I know the frame counter on the M2 is manual-reset, but does it have a latch/lock, or can it be moved at any time? What I'm worried about is the counter wheel getting bumped and turned, leaving me with no idea what frame I'm ACTUALLY on.

Typical for German instruction manuals, the M2 manual just says "reset the frame counter" with no indication of whether there's a catch/lock. (The shop manual for my Mercedes is the same way, lots of "remove the crossover pipe in the usual way". 😀:bang🙂

In the years when I had the M2 and carried it all the time, I never once bumped the frame counter out of position. That said, I often forgot to set it ... never worried about it, just keep going until the film stopped and rewound it. ;-)

it has only one side movement, insiude ther is a lever wich rotates the dial as you advance the film, the same lever prevents back movement.
