site slow loading

Is it me or is the site loading more slowly lately?

Painfully slow on 56K dialup, even with images turned off - ten minute page loads are typical. This is the worst site I visit for speed.

I'll bet it goes slow when Mr. Gandy is scanning his slides... He recently took a vacation, right?
If true, it should speed up when his images are all processed.
