size of 35 cron ASPH vs various

how is the size of the latest 35/2 summicron (which I understand is ~50% larger than the pre ASPH) compared to say the rokkor 40/2, Hexanon 50/2, Summarit 50/1.5 or CV 35/1.7 ultron?

the lens is bigger then the pre asph no doubt, a lot bigger, but at the same time I also think its ergonomically easier to use for as much as I hate lens tabs the one on the asph works just right for me. With the hood its even bigger. The rokkor is a small lens, about the same size as the 35 pre asph but I think a hair thinner if I remember. The Hexanon is longer then the 35 asph, but with the hood on the 35 they are give or take about the same size.

with the hoods on the sum-asph is identical in length to the ultron 35. I checked this before I sold my Ultron last week. The square hood on the asph makes it a bit more difficult to put in my coat pocket though!

thanks all, this is great info. I may be buying one in a kit from a friend and will likely resell it after testing it with a rokkor or summ.-c 40.

Unless noticably superior, I really like the small size of the rokkor 40s.
