Slides, still a blast to shoot!

I have 2 bricks of Velvia 100F. The only color film I now shoot is the Velvia and Kodak Ektar (negative). Velvia is my favorite though..

I agree, it's a great shot but if this came out of a M240 everybody would be complaing about how Leica messed up the red saturation and that the sensitivity of the CMOSIS sensor is totally wrong, sorry slide-ly off topic 😉.

I'm shooting more slide film again mainly due to the fact that I can get Agfaphoto CT Precisa cheaper than other slide films. Even allowing for this, the total cost of everything (film, postage, processing & scanning) comes to approx £20 per film, so it's not a cheap option. As the poster above mentions, the colours are not always accurate but there is something about the look that I like.

So true! I actually de-saturated the bricks slightly in post which made the leaves pop more. Thank you for your comments.

wahhhh 😱
CT is €6.25 for 2 films here and a discount development €2
I scan myself so that's about €5 per roll I shoot.
I'm more in trouble with Provia400X (€12) and I don't use the discount lab for that stuff so it's €5 for the development.

It's actually worse than I thought. If you buy 10 films they work out about £4.80 each delivered. Postage sending a film for processing £3. Processing scanning and return postage £13 - a total of £20.80. I think I'll definitely need to look into getting a scanner. it would pay for itself in no time.

How much 😱 i was given a roll but i think it is only about £5 and if you send 10 to Peak Imaging it is about £7.20 a roll to process so way under £20, but i got some lovely results

6.25€ where?

DM - a drugstore chain in with stores in Austria and Germany.

edit:
Maybe elsewhere, too. That's at least, where I buy it.

that ..

(could be a bit more .. I'm not sure. I've to check again)

I know of some people that "loot" those drugstore film shelves when they are in germany

The C41 film there is really cheap - and DM sells rebranded Kodak 😀
