I am trying something different (to me)...
I just loaded a roll of Fuji Astia 100f in my 1968 Electro 35.
What can I expect...exposure wise..from the camera...
My Negative film seem fairly good. there is a little variation when I change f/stops..but not drastic...the scanned files have a good histogram...

I have not had slide film scaned yet...this is my first....How will they do.?? Grain, noice, saturation ??

Any samples from Yashica's??...Please post..
Thanks

I shot slide film with my GSNs and the meter is accurate enough for it.

I will be very interested to see the resulting of your slides.

I just got a GSN and I'm going through various B&W film types to see which works best with it.

I am currently running a 36 exp. rol of Ilford XP2 Super 400, then will come a roll of Kodak 125 PX and finallly Fuji Neopan Acros 100.

I'm focusing on B&W right now as this is the one area that I find lacking with my 20D. Granted, I could photoshop a color shot to nice B&W, but at some point it seems you've done so much manipulation that you've left the essence of the image behind.

I have shot one roll of B&W through my GSN (Kodak 400CN) and the results are sharp (gotta love that Yashinon lens), yet overexposed to my tatse (still getting used to this wonderful piece of kit).

Btw, and totally unrelated, I picked up a nice strap at my local camera store for the GSN called the Gripper (by Domke). I has nice swivel unions, very grippy strap and well-designed leather bumpers to help avoid scratching the camera body at the strap lugs - check it out.

Yes, the 400CN is a nice film. and scans well...For color, try the HD400 from Kodak..It is a great grain (like a slower film)..and scans with very little artifacts to deal with later....

I have a Promaster Strap that has the small rings to attach to the smallish logs on my Electro 35...It has a very grippy material too on the inside. I can interchange the main strap with other Promaster Straps..Similar to the Tamracs, but I could not find a Tamrac with small rings...No Big Deal..

I will post s few when I get the roll dev/scanned sometime next week...I hope...
