Slovenia

I spent a weekend in Bled, Slovenia, which is a must-see but overlooked spot, and had a great time. Great people, and my son received excellent health care there when we feared he had pneumonia for a total cost of 23 euro! I look forward to returning some day. Didn't get to the capital, so thanks for sharing your cool photos.

Lovely photos szekiat! I visited Ljubljana this time last year and it was one of my highlights when traveling around Europe. It just felt instantly comfortable and I ended up staying there for much longer than I was planning! I'm dying to go back.

"where shops shut mid afternoon on saturdays."....sounds like Frankfurt in the 1970s.

Great fotos - thanks for sharing.

Very nice shots. I can remember every place you've been quite well. Ljubliana is not very far form my home. I've been there a few years ago at a convention. It's one of the lovliest towns in former yugoslavia, a perfect mixture of the old austrian k.u.k architecture and italian lifestyle. And still comparatively cheap. Highly recommended for a visit!

Did you also use your new lens for those shots? ;)

I visited Ljubljana and Slovenia last summer. It is really one of EU's hidden gems. Italian type of food and some great wines and mountain sceneries much like in Switzerland. People are very polite and friendly. I'll definitely visit Slovenia again.

Great photos szekiat!

some of the best wines and liqueur around in my books! And pizza!!! i visited a shop that had 60+ varieties of pizza. Talk about choice! Thanks for all the kind comments, i tried to take a streeter's approach this time round. Hope i succeeded....
