It's odd re-reading info about SLR versus Rangefinder , with the advent of my Pansonic G1 , which digitally , cuts across both genres .
It happily accepts my Leica fit lenses and virtually any SLR lens , it will enable focus in dim light , has no clunking mirror , and is reasonably compact .
Maybe some are just too compact , but a Leica M style would be easy to create without the rangefinder .
... and is dead in the water without a battery !
There is no reason that a metal bodied Pro camera cannot be made in this form , though the EVF would need to be considerably improved .
