SLR short range zooms

I have a Yashica MC zoom 35-70mm 3.5-4.5 that I have been meaning to put through the paces. From what info that I have found on the internet, it seems to have quite a good reputation. Has anyone any experience with this lens?

An amazing lens that is as good if not better than the equivalent focal length primes.

I don't think anyone has mention the Canon FD 35-105mm f/3.5 zoom. I think it just amazing.

OM Zuiko 35-80 f2.8 (constant aperture). Outstanding image quality both in published testing and real life.

I spent four wonderful days in paris with my EOS50, a Tamron 28-75/2.8 and TMAX400-2. That combination gave me the flexibility to do almost everything that came into my mind (photographically that is...)

i've had good results with the zuiko 24-48 in the past, an om gem, can be had pretty cheap too

Pentax FA 35-70 - very good and about the size of a 50/1.7

Pentax SMC-A 35-105/3.5 - big heavy and wonderful.

Tamron Adaptall 2 35-80 2.8/3.5 - legendary and still good on digital.
