I had a privilege to have M8 in loan for a while. I wrote a very small review on my blog here: http://markuspuustinen.com/index.php?showimage=612
I haven’t posted all my favorite pictures I took with M8 yet but here are the ones I’ve posted so far: http://markuspuustinen.com/index.php?x=browse&category=43

I wouldn't consider it a review because the text is very short. But I like the pictures very much.
What lens did you use for #594 (the picture with the seagull)?

Maybe I should have called it a user experience or something like that. English is not my mother tongue so I apologize if I was misleading.
All pictures are taken with Voigtländer Nokton 40mm F/1.4.

Discovering RF
I was a 5D user too and used the m8 on loan and finally bit the bullet and bought my friend's used unit.
I totally agree with your assessment. It's built extremely well, it could be improved further but non 'show-stoppers' as such and even iso1250 is usable.
But for me, you buy the m8 because you want a rangefinder. A rangefinder is about a small / discrete shooter that, at least for me anyhow, slows me down and makes me think of my shot a lot more.
I could not and do find the 'new' price too much. But used, I decided it is a tool that helps me make beautiful photos - and that's what counts at the end of the day.
5Dmk2 is no longer on my radar as I've now committed to the M system.
