I am looking for a very small quick release system to put on my Zipshot tripod so low weight is of the essence. It will only have to carry a compact camera like the Sigma DP1 or lighter. It does need to have spirit level, markings for panorama or anything fancy. Just provide a way to attach and detach the camera swiftly (and securely).
Anybody got something they can recommend?
Thanks in advance,

Inexpensive relative to the Novoflex alternative?

Thanks a lot - this one looks not half bad
I was hoping for something even lighter (and cheaper). But I have not been able to find anything but the trek-tech MagMount STAR which, as far as I can see, cannot be used as a plate alone.

There's not a lot better than a Q-Top, and NOTHING as quick and secure at the size and weight. The only other small QR I'd consider is Redged.
'Cheap' is a REAL mistake, unless you're not worried about smashing your camera.
Cheers,

I know, and I even have a spare Q-Top I just managed to grab before they disappeared (for a while - they are back). Maybe I should just go that way.
Obviously, putting a camera on a Zipshot in the first place I do not care too much about my equipment
Seriously it is one of the reasons why I am looking for something sturdy with low weight. I do not want to put too much weight on the Zipshot (although it is probably stronger than I fear).
I just hoped that somebody had made something as good as the Q-Top but smaller, lighter, and, yes, cheaper.
