Does anyone make something like the Artists and Artisan Rina case (not sure if even made anymore) that is just big enough for an M9 with an attached 35mm lens? Bonus points if it's affordable (not $150).
Just want something for throwing inside of another bag. I've used Domke inserts and similar in the past but they are sort of half assed, ill fitting solutions although open top ones are better for working out of a messenger bag than something like the Rina would be. I'm looking more for protection but not bulk.

I use the Leica Neoprene case for this, check http://www.adorama.com/LCCSNMS.html?gclid=CMOAqsCdx8gCFQINaQodSK0Akg, for instance. Well, to throw in my tank-bag, anyways.

The Leica Neoprene might be best option but for $60 or $70 I would love something with better materials and bit more style or it should be $20.
Anything else?

This might fit the bill:

Basically the same as the Leica neoprene case, but $22.
Cheers,
Ari

A toiletry bag or fanny pack with the strap cut off should do the trick nicely.

Benser used to make a soft leather case with a zipper to close and a wrist strap. I have one I've used for years and a copy a local craftsman made for me. It holds my M6 and 50 Summilux asph and will just barely hold an M6 with a Tri Elmar. It's small, discreet and has enough room inside for an extra roll of film next to the lens. They are a bit hard to find but work well. When these wear out I'll have another one made. Joe

Found the Kando Case too:

Probably a little fancy for what I want but nice. Wish I could split the difference between this and simple neoprene case.

the advantage of the small domke is that it can be used as storage in a backpack or slipped on a belt or over the shoulder...versatile...

Think this would be perfect but I hear you on the Domke. Might have to take a trip to B&H and check out in person:

Only the F-5XA is big enough to fit two Ms with small to medium size lenses attached. The height of it is such that one could still wad a t-shirt up and place it on top of their cameras. Domke used to make a mini F of some sort, but this was about seven years ago, when everyone was sucking on DSLR telephotos and super zooms (hence its demise).
One of the problems with camera bag manufacturers is that they don't ever seem to think like Barnack did. Everyone has there own version of the F-5XB or bigger. Few innovate, happy to make carbon copies what was already successful. Capitalism at its finest can be fit into a 12 x 6 x 4" bag, but nothing smaller. Bravo.

I have one (among many others. Actually, my compliments to you for suggesting the Ona Bowery when it came out, which I thought was going to work well for me at the time, but my girlfriend likes it better as a daily user).
A&A made an ICAM5-something-or-other than would be a perfect recommendation here, but I guess that was last season. Lookbooks...
