Smallest good spot meter?

I have a Minolta Autometer IV with the 5deg adaptor, but it's just way too big to stick in my pocket. So I bought a Sekonic L308 and it's the perfect size, but no spot metering capability.
I'm trying to "anchor" all my TX exposures to the "most important shadow area in which I want detail," (Zone 2) and so far that works great, but it would sure be nice to have an accurate, small spot meter. Any ideas out there?

I had a Sekonic L-408 for a while--it was a great little meter. It has incident and spot (5 degree capability). It is about half way between a 308 and a 508 in size, if my memory is correct, but I remember it being rather thin which made it seem small. I don't know of any small 1 degree spot meters.

You could consider the Pentax digital spot with the leather belt holster.

+1 for Sekonic L-408. That is what I use, and it is a great meter. Not tiny, but a very handleable size.

Why are meters like this all so big? Is there just a market gap (or lack of demand) for smaller meters? It seems like the footprint of meters hasn't really changed much in the last 30 years.

I second the Sekonic L-408 recommendation. Fits nicely in my pocket when I'm hiking. I also like the Gossen Luna Pro F with its analog dial and 5/15-degree spot attachment, about the same dimensions but much thicker.

Jeezum just get the Pentax Digital Spot like every other decent "Zone System" photographer has had (since Ansel) for the last 40 years... compact, simple, only does one thing but does it very well.

There is the Metered Light spot that is not much larger than a Gossen Digisix but is very well considered, but it is impossible to get and the hobby-side business that makes them is incredibly lame about communicating or delivering them.

+1 to what Frank said. The Pentax is a true 1-degree spot. Five degrees is too big for some purposes.

Thanks to all for yopur responses. Seems to come down to Pentax spotmeter or the L408. I'll check 'em both out.
