Konica Lexio 70 and Samsung Maxima 80 GLM are likely contenders.

I think Lexio 70 even got awarded as smallest zoom compact but I'm not giving my hand for it. I'd give this award. But then it depends on generation of compacts and years. Olympus Mju aka Stylus 80 also is very small. It depends on focal lengths one is looking for, so there are more choices than this. It also depends on what we can call small. Fuji Mini Zoom and Fuji Zoom Date F2.8 also aren't big.

Excellent, i´ve looked them and comparing with the stellar contax tvs aren´t that different...
I guess there´s no t3 zoom is it?
Thanks!

Ambitious, but rubbish
The Fujifilm zoom-date 1000 and zoom-date 1300 are the smallest cameras within their respective zoom ranges; 28-100 for the 1000, and 28-130 for the 1300.

HI,
I guess you mean 35mm film but if you can take a bit of heresy then look at the APS Rollei Nano or the Konica Z3 both small and good.
Some of the Pentax ESPIO zoom P&S's in 35mm format are small for their size.

Pentax Espio 24EW. I got one in the Xmas give-away (Thanks again MrFujicaman!), it's a pretty cool lil camera. 24mm-105mm.

I have several that are decently small that are 35mm and have zoom including the Leica MiniZoom and the smaller Olympus Stylus Infinity. That's about the smallest I've had in hand.

Pentax Espio/IQZoom 90 MC is probably the most compact of the Pentax zooms. But I agree that the 24EW is a neat little camera.

Hi,
The Pentax I was thinking of was the ESPIO 115M, I saw one in a charity shop today and hope I've remembered the model number correctly. I was very disappointed; it was in an ESPIO mini's case and I pounced on it and got a shock when I opened the cover...

Hi,
thanks for your advice
in fact david since you told me about the rollei nano i sarted to think again about aps cameras..a few months ago i bought a contax tix for 60 usd, but the seller repented and told me some amusing reason for not shipping it...i let it go...but now i think i´ll be getting into another aps cam.
the rollei nano looks great and on ebay are really cheap....the little i could find on flickr gave me very good impression about it.
Let´s see if i can find some BW film cartridges!

Hi,
I'm not surprised about the Contax Tix, they are special and they have lens hoods.
The two APS cameras I suggested have always been favourites of mine in the "with zooms" group and they are dirt cheap. The Canon Ixus III ought to be in that group but I've have had mixed results from mine. At it's best it is good but at it's worst...
B&W APS film appears on ebay from time to time, I've used it and wasn't impressed but it was out of date and not Ilford FP4+. So I wasn't upset.

I get one Pentax Espio 120mi. Very small, light and quiet. With one switch you can set a panorama mode. There is also a dioptric correction. I am amazed !! Just get some batteries in CR2 size. http://www.muster.ru/zoom/es120mii.htm

I wouldn't call it the smallest, but the Canon Sure Shot Classic 120 is very pocket-able, with a lens that retracts completely into the body. Somewhat retro styled, with an aluminum covered body, it has plenty of controls that allow for some serious shooting.
