Being a cat is such hard, exhausting work. Sneaky has been 'working' like this all day in various places in my house! He had some steak for dinner earlier, then went back to work. I shot these photos of him a few minutes ago.

Had steaks for dinner tonight. The whole time my son and I were eating, Sneaky worked hard to guilt us into giving up our food. "See how CUTE I am? FEED ME!" He had eaten a can of cat food 45 minutes earlier!
Sneaky did get a big bowl of meat when we were done.

Yesterday evening, my son sat down on the sofa to read. Sneaky immediately jumped on the sofa, cuddled up next to him, and went to sleep.

Last night, we had spaghetti for dinner. My son finished eating before I did, and our cat, Sneaky, helped himself to Mack's leftovers. He does this all the time with spaghetti, but the funny thing is that he won't eat it if we offer him some in his bowl. He'll only eat it if he can STEAL it, and then he eats it with the same enthusiasm he gives to steak.
I grabbed the video camera and shot a short video of him eating.

I shot these a couple nights ago. Sneaky was asleep in one of his favorite spots on my living room floor, this time with his tail sticking straight out into the space people walk through to get around the sofa! Gotta inconvenience the humans!

Chris, typical feline, he's telling you that anything you can do he can do better!

Very true! He's happy, he got steak tonight. He was standing on his back legs with his front paws on my legs watching me cut up the meat for him at the dining room table after I finished eating.

A while back, Sneaky figured out how to open the door to the hall closet in my house. Last night, I noticed the door was open just wide enough for a cat to slither through. I pulled it open the rest of the way and found Sneaky sleeping in the basket of clean bath towels!

This is where Sneaky sits to supervise whenever I pee, poop, or take a shower. Last night, I was going to brush my teeth and he came in, jumped on the bathroom counter, knocked a few things off, them jumped to the observation post on the back of the toilet!

The Cat, of course.

Cat Tip: try to touch the cats feet (front and back) so they get used to you ... eventually try to grab feet (nicely) ... then eventually you can (if you want) get the cat to be comfortable enough to try clipping its claws (make sure you read up on that one)

Yeah, anyone who says they have a cat obviously doesn't understand the order of things. The cat has YOU!

PS. Chris, you have a very endearing, totally amusing feline companion there! I enjoy your narrative and the photos of Sneaky looking oh-so-innocent.

clip the claws? maybe instead of a cat, you should keep rabbits.

Agreed. Sneaky is very sweet to me and never scratches me. He does sharpen his claws on my sofa, but that's what cats do. He needs those claws for those now-rare occasions when he bestirs himself to catch a mouse!

A few days ago, I went in the bathroom and Sneaky followed me, as usual. He jumped on the counter and knocked down several items, including a tube of toothpaste and a deodorant package. They were in his way and he wanted to lay down.
Then, he knocked the toilet paper roll down before jumping down to the floor to open a drawer and snoop in it! He figured out how to pull drawers open a couple weeks ago. This cat is smart!

A few minutes ago, I was in the kitchen washing a pan, when Sneaky jumped on the counter and started trying to guilt me into giving him more food. He ate less than two hours ago and I'm grilling steaks tonight, so he's not going to starve. He was pretty annoyed at me anyway. My son, who Sneaky loves, sat next to him and Sneaky acted annoyed with him too!

Early this morning, Sneaky was trying to guilt me into feeding him again, even though he had eaten an hour earlier!
