Sneaky (cat!)

Does Sneaky chitter at birds? The first time I heard and saw my cat do that, I was astounded. It’s such a bizarre cat reaction and seems to occur when the cat is behind a window.

I've known a lot of cats that did that to both birds and insects, but Sneaky never has. Back when he was still murdering birds on a regular basis, he would silently creep up to them before pouncing. No chittering!

Sneaky was annoyed with me yesterday afternoon for taking pictures while he was trying to look out the window. One has to be vigilant; his enemies in the neighborhood could encroach on his territory at any time!

He went out yesterday evening and sprayed a newly planted bush in my front yard. As he was walking away from it, he turned around and went back to spray the same bush a second time! Just to be sure, lol.

He also killed a mouse a couple days ago! First time in over a year that he's killed anything. He left it on the doorstep for me. I thought he had gotten lazy from living in my house and eating steak all the time.

Sneaky thought the hooman deserved a gift. Although Sneaky may know what lenses you want, he can’t afford them. So, a mouse is the next best thing.

Be thankful it was just a mouse. A former kitty of mine, Hubert, would regularly leave me rabbits and squirrels, on the bed, while I was asleep. Absolutely not what you would want to see upon waking up in the morning.
And yes, a new Summilux would have been my preference.

Sneaky gets steak.
You get mouse meat.

Order is restored.

I'm sure he thinks that is totally the way it should be. The master always eats better than the slaves.

I think he got tired of me asking if he caught any mice lately; he was trying to shut me up!

Fortunately, Sneaky cannot come in the house unless my son or I opens the door for him. So, no nighttime surprises :D

I just went outside with Sneaky and saw a tiny toad on the driveway. The cat sniffed it and walked away, then came back and flopped down on top of it and began rolling around. Fortunately, he did not hurt it; when I finally got him up, the toad jumped away!

Yesterday morning, Sneaky was outside and I went out to photograph the clouds in the sky. Sneaky came up to me to rub my legs, then ran to the house. He wanted inside to EAT. He was not happy about me continuing to photograph after he’d ordered me to open the door and feed him!

This morning, Sneaky came inside and ate breakfast. Right after, he began demanding MORE food! He was NOT happy when I told him he could wait for a second can.

I like Sneaky’s expressions:

1 - “I can haz food?”
2 - “What?”
3 - “Where iz food?”

Its all about the kittyfood for Sneaky. My son remarked recently that 90% of my photos of our cat involve Sneaky either eating (or demanding food) or sleeping! Typical cat.

Late last night, my son and I went to Kroger to replenish Sneaky's food supply. Famine loomed over our home, as Sneaky's food supply had dropped to dangerously low levels (2 or 3 days worth left. The horror!)

I put this big bag of canned cat food on the counter and Sneaky immediately checked it out and demanded food. He had eaten an hour earlier! He was not happy about waiting.
