Sneaky sleeping with poop and an opossum.
He loves to sleep with that toy opossum, which is funny because Sneaky HATES real opossums. I've seen him attack several of them and chase them out of our yard at night and I caught him stalking an opossum in my neighbor's yard one day.

Really, really nice photo. Save it.

That’s good, because you don’t want critters like opossums and raccoons getting through your foundation vents and living under your house. Several of my neighbors had that happen - $14,000 worth of damage. If the critters know there’s an animal in the yard that could be a threat, they won’t choose your property to house their family.Sneaky HATES real opossums. Let's hope Sneaky chooses his battles wisely. Possums don't always "play possum", going inert and unresponsive. They can be very formidable adversaries for critters larger than themselves. And raccoons? One of the ugliest things you don't want to see is a pissed-off, cornered raccoon!

That’s true, but just knowing there’s an unfriendly cat nearby will likely prevent those critters from choosing that area for raising a litter.

Yeah, I love it. Mack snapped it with the camera in his samsung tablet.

My house has a full basement, so there's no danger of that. We don't have any tall trees anymore; the electric company cut them down because they were tangled up in the power lines, so we never see raccoons. Used to have opossums living in some of the bushes, but Sneaky has driven them all away. They're scared to death of him! He is a really large, intimidating cat.

The opossums here don't play dead when they see Sneaky. They just run like Hell to get out of the yard!
Raccoons would definitely be a danger to a cat. My parents used to have them in their yard because they have a lot of tall trees. My mom had to leave food for them every night to keep them from tearing into the trash cans and making a mess. It was like a Mafia protection racket. Pay us, or we trash your yard. The coons all left after they got their dog, a Great Pyrenees. This dog is BIG (120lbs) and predatory. She is super sweet to people, cats, and other dogs....but she murders EVERYTHING else she can catch. She has killed opossums, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, a groundhog, and several small birds. She even chases HAWKS when they fly across my parents' back yard! Funny thing is that the dog is actually afraid of my mom's meanass little tortoiseshell cat.

In the nearly three years that Sneaky has lived with me, he has never shown any interest in boxes. This is unusual, since most cats LOVE getting inside cardboard boxes. A couple days ago, Sneaky slithered into this empty Pepsi box, which is barely big enough for him, and slept there for a few hours. This morning, I found him sleeping in it again!

Just when you think you have them figured out they change their behavior. It's part of their control method to keep their human helpers on alert while still looking cute doing it.

Sneaky was laying on the bathroom floor, sleeping on the towel after my son took a shower in the morning. When I went in to take a picture of the cat, his eyes opened and he looked up at me with a surprised look.

I think you caught Sneaky wanting to read about the French Foreign Legion.
Its a good book. The same author, Douglas Porch, wrote a really fascinating book about the French conquest of the part of the Sahara Desert that is now part of Algeria. I have a lot of great history books. Actually, I have about 2500 books in total. Sneaky seems most interested in sleeping on them.
